Join us for a panel discussion exploring the significance of the Hanukkah celebration for Jewish people.

We'll be looking at historical and contemporary perspectives and spanning different communities.

How important is the celebration to the Jewish identity? What has the significance of Hanukkah been for Jewish people when they haven’t been able to practise their faith freely? How have traditions and rituals been shared amongst different Jewish communities?

On the panel

  • Lev Taylor, student Rabbi
  • Kenneth Awele Okafor, member of the JW3 Young Advisory Group

Our chair is Marilyn Scott, heritage advisor of the Bevis Marks Foundation.
