Spring Family Day 2025
Join us this spring holidays for immersive, creative and playful family activities, exploring how light and sound can help shape our sense of home and belonging.

Head to our Make & Play Space, where multimedia artist Sadegh Aleahmad will guide families in crafting vibrant props and exploring how they interact with light and shadow. Then step into the Performance Playhouse to bring your creations to life—sharing stories and secrets with friends and family.
What's on
Colour Booklets | 10.30am - 4pm in the Atrium
Pick up a colour booklet at the start of your visit to record all your drawings, stories and ideas during your light-themed activity day.
Make & Play Space with Sadegh Aleahmad | 10.30am - 4pm in the Studio
Experiment with light, shadow and colour as you build props exploring themes of ownership and belonging in a playful, creative way. Add your own drawings onto your light containers then watch them come to life by hanging and moving them around the play space.
Performance Playhouse | 10.30am - 4pm in the Learning Pavilion
Take over the Mini Playhouse and stage your own light performance! Build imaginative dens, using torches to project your creations. Leave secrets and stories for your family and friends, or for other children to find.
We use the term family broadly to include any form of family structure, including LGBTQIA+ families, chosen family, friends and allies.
Free, drop-in event. No booking is required.
