Willow Platter Workshop

Lisa Dear’s lifelong connection to nature and her background in Fine Art inspire her to create thoughtful and practical baskets that bring beauty and functionality to everyday life. Primarily self-taught in basketry, she has also trained with experienced makers in the South East to hone her skills. Lisa’s baskets reflect her aim to live harmoniously with nature, a value developed during her time living off-grid. Her work combines traditional basketry techniques with aspects of contemporary design, resulting in unique and artful pieces. 

Vigour and Skills is a platform dedicated to championing contemporary craftsmanship and the people behind it. Working closely with independent makers, artisans, and designers, Vigour and Skills supports the preservation and evolution of skilled making through collaboration, exhibition, and education.
