The community researchers will record oral histories with members of the Trans* community, and research ways in which Museum of the Home’s 2000s period room can better highlight trans* narratives and history.
Following independent recording and transcription of oral histories, the community researchers will come together to form a co-curation group working towards the redesign of the period room through 3 in-person workshops at the museum.
Expenses: £200 per oral history recorded and transcribed (~7 hours), followed by £50 for each co-curation workshop attended (~2 hours).
Collaborators: The Trans* Community Researcher will work directly with the Assistant Curator and on occasion with the wider curatorial team
