Your visit
There is step-free access to all our galleries. We are committed to ensuring an accessible experience for everyone. Prepare for your visit with information about our access facilities.
We recommend allowing at least one hour for your visit, or as long as you wish. Our rooms, exhibits and gardens change throughout the year, and we love welcoming visitors back in all seasons.
You can’t eat or drink in our galleries or the Gardens Through Time.
All visitors, including families with young children, are welcome to use our Lunch Room.
You are also welcome to picnic in the Kingsland Road Gardens, but please bin or take your rubbish home with you.
Visitor guidelines
We do not allow animals into the gardens or museum buildings, unless they are registered guide, assistant and companion animals (or in training) and wearing their tabards/harnesses.
Smoking or vaping is not permitted anywhere on site.
We love to see photos our visitors take, but please do not use flash, tripods or extra lighting.
Share your photos with us @museumofthehome on Instagram, TikTok, Bluesky or Facebook and use the #museumofthehome hashtag.
For commercial or professional use, you can hire our spaces for filming, photography or events.
Please consider other visitors when using your phone in the galleries and gardens, and respect the space of other visitors.
