About group visits
Free entry
Self-guided group visits are free, but you must book. We are always grateful for donations to support the museum, either online when you book, or by card and cash when you visit.
On the day of your visit, please split in smaller groups to visit the galleries. We recommend groups of approximately 10-12 people to avoid overcrowding in our small gallery spaces. You can inform us of any access requirements you have when you book.
You can arrange a group visit on any Tuesday–Friday in four bookable timeslots:
- 11am
- 12pm
- 2pm
- 3pm
Special tours and talks
We offer private tours and talks, delivered by members of the curatorial department, by arrangement. Please email bookings@museumofthehome.org.uk to enquire.
Tour and talks include:
- Curator-led tours of the museum for groups of up to 20 people for a charge of £300
- Curator-led tours of Almshouse 14 for groups of up to 12 people for £150
- Introductory talks followed by a self-led tour for up to 25 people for £150
We also welcome groups of up to 12 onto our series of Objects Stories tours or public Almshouse 14 tours, which include per-person and concessionary pricing.
Almshouse 14 is not step-free, and groups larger than 12 will need to split themselves across tours.
