Facilitated Creative Workshops
What can patterns tell us about who we are? Students will connect domestic patterns around the museum with personal stories, particularly focusing on migration. A collagraph or lino printing workshop will allow students to create a pattern exploring their own identities.
Groups will learn about activism and the power of artistic voice, exploring stories of equality in the home with a focus on women and gender, including the See Red Women’s Workshop. Students will harness collage techniques to create a poster advocating for positive change, sharing messages of kindness and care.
How can exploring the past, present and future of objects help us think more sustainably about our homes? Students will analyse the continuing lifecycle of domestic objects, before experimenting with clay to tell stories of personal connections to objects in their own homes.
