Tours last 45 minutes and start promptly. Capacity is limited, please arrive in good time to avoid disappointment.

During our Winter Past exhibition, we will be running our regular Almshouse 14 guided tours as free drop-ins, with an optional donation.

Discover what it was like to live in Hackney 200 years ago on tours of our restored 18th-century almshouse dwellings. Embark on an interactive walk through Almshouse 14 to see for yourself how residents kept warm, slept, ate, and did their washing centuries ago.

Check in at the Welcome desk upon arrival at Museum of the Home to reserve a spot.
