Cernamic Creation Zone - Museum of the Home

Nam and the team from Cernamic return to the Museum with a two-day Creation Zone, inviting young makers to get creative with hands-on ceramic activities and discover the joy of working with clay.

Children and families can learn the basics of working with clay and create their own unique ceramic pieces.

The sessions are free to drop-in between 10.30am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-4pm, no pre-booking is required.

Our Ceramics Creation Zone is open alongside our annual Ceramics in the City exhibition fair, co-curated by Nam Tran, founder of local ceramic studio Cernamic.

About Nam Tran | Cernamic

Nam Tran is an award-winning fine ceramic art practioner exhibiting internationally. Specialising in wheel-thrown raku, bringing years of experience and craftsmanship to every object made. He focuses primarily on exploring the physical properties of clay and material experimentation with alternative firing techniques. Nam likes to create pieces inspired by his childhood memories of video games and toys with a modern twist. He studied at Central Saint Martins and the Royal College of Arts.

Alongside Susi Huang, Nam founded Cernamic, a ceramic studio which strives to make this art form entirely accesible to anyone willing to give it a try.
