Museum of the Home is a free museum and charity.
We exist for the benefit of everyone. To raise the funds we need to stay open, we run special events at various times throughout the year. The support generated by ticket sales to these events is vital to us and plays a crucial role in helping us to:
Share our beautiful Grade I-listed site with around 200,000 visitors and schoolchildren every year
Uncover personal stories of home, giving a voice to our East London community
Create a havenfor natureand people in an area of limited access to green space
Work with community partners such as Hackney Foodbank and Hackney Foster Carers, to promote greater wellbeing within our local area
Maintain our restored historic building and Almshouse 14, to ensure many more generations can discover what life was like in Hackney two hundred years ago
Our much-loved Yard Sale is back!
