Formative Folklore with The Broom Cupboard

The Broom Cupboard is Matthew Hughes and Blue Firth. Matthew is an artist and producer whose work in film, ceramics, and storytelling explores queer identity, folklore, and our connection to the natural world. Blue is a witch and designer who works with clay, writes about interiors and teaches graphic design and magical practices. Together as The Broom Cupboard they deliver talks and events influenced by a shared experience of the uncanny side of 80s and 90’s children’s TV and literature.
